SILVER HANDPRINT AND FOOTPRINT OVAL CUFFLINKS

Spectacular pure silver handprint cufflinks with your loved ones actual perfectly miniaturised prints pressed into the surface of each personalised silver cufflink. You can have a different print on each cuff, meaning you can have 2 hands, 2 feet or a hand and foot!  Personalised silver footprint cufflinks are a brilliant gift for a father or grandfather wanting to keep his loved ones close when they are not together.

When you order, you will be sent a special inkless wipe kit to capture your loved one’s prints in the comfort of your home and you can email the images to Impressions to Keep.  This means you are able to keep the original prints as an extra keepsake. The kits are non toxic, not at all messy, very easy to use and full instructions will be included.  Order forms and information for the return of the prints is included in the kit.

If you already have your prints, we can use these and there is no need to re-take the prints. Just scan or take a photo of the prints and send the images to us via email. If you have ordered from Impressions to Keep previously, we can use the prints we used on your previous order.

The hand and footprints are scaled down in size, keeping as many of the lines on the hands as possible, and will fit any size of silver. So, any age of person (or size of pet) can have their hand and footprints taken. Meaning whether it is a newborn or an adult, you can capture their hand and footprints to treasure forever.

Each oval silver handprint and footprint cufflink will hold one print and you can have prints from different loved ones on your handprint cufflinks. Your silver handprint and footprint cufflinks are available in regular or chunky thickness for a little added luxury and weight.  There are also round, rectangle and square personalised silver cufflinks on separate listings. If you wish have more than 2 prints on each cufflink (3 or 4 prints in total) you will need to order the larger oval or rectangle cufflinks. The larger style are ideal if you would like to have more than 2 of your loved ones on your cuffs!

You can have your footprint cufflinks hand engraved with a name and date (space permitting) on the reverse.  Or perhaps a name or initials on the front of the cufflink, this is free of charge and you will be able to detail your hand engraving requirements for your footprint cuff links on your order form contained with your kit.

Your personalised silver cufflinks will be dispatched to you within 3-4 weeks or receipt of prints.

How We Create Your Personalised Jewellery:

Impressions to Keep use a high-quality silver clay to make your hand and footprint jewellery. The clay contains thousands the tiniest particles of pure silver suspended in an organic binder, making it mailable and able to hold the finest of details like fingerprints. When we receive your images, they are carefully enhanced and a physical stamp made to press into the silver clay. This means the image is deeper and not just finely etched onto the surface of the silver. Almost like the hand, foot, finger or paw print is pressed into a piece of clay.
Any clear outlined image can be used. So a handprint, foot paw print are all useable to use to make the stamp. Additionally, handwriting or a drawing can easily have a stamp made from the original image to press into the silver clay.
If you have opted for fingerprint jewellery,, you will have received a fingerprint capturing putty to capture your loved ones prints into a mould. Once the mould is received, we use this to press into the silver clay.
The silver is then cut into whatever shape you specify and dried. It will then be carefully refined, smoothed and holes drilled for attachments.
After drying, the piece is kilned for several hours at 850 degrees. The binder burns away and the tiny silver particles fuse together to make a solid piece of 99.9% pure silver. This silver is recognised by the Assay Office as fine silver and is higher in purity than sterling silver, which is only 92.5% pure silver.
Please not that Impressions to Keep do not use a laser engraver to etch your hand and footprint image on your jewellery. Your image will be deeper and recessed into the silver. This means it will be far more resilient to wear and will not fade.

All attachments, backs and chains are high quality sterling silver and are soldered for added security.

Impressions to Keep uses traditional silver smithing techniques to create your bespoke jewellery and everything is done by hand. No machines are used, all polishing, cutting, shaping etc is undertaken by hand.
